How SSS Maternity Benefits Work

The Social Security System (SSS) provides maternity benefits to qualified female members and male members whose spouse gives birth. The benefit is a daily cash allowance paid as a lump sum to help cover expenses during the maternity leave period.

100% Benefit Rate: Unlike SSS sickness benefits (which pay 90%), maternity benefits are paid at 100% of your average daily salary credit with no waiting period.
